A State of Constant Fear

I know these are difficult times both economically and in the wider world. However it seems that the authorities must always have the public in a state of constant fear or vigilance.

We have had throughout the autumn the swine flu that never really was and now that is fading out we have another alert. Undoubtedly there are risks from boh and one cannot underestimate fanaticism of those that would perpetrate evil deeds but do we constantly, as a population need to be in constant fear.
