Great to see that the Transport Minister, unelected by his own Parish and unelected by the Island, having decreed that Islanders must wear seat belts in the back of cars (not a bad idea), by ministerial powers rather than referring it to the States, is now targeting pensioners in respect of their free bus passes. Taxation by stealth.
I had hoped the new intake in the States would be better than the last lot. Seems that those thoughts were ill founded.
And the unelected bailiff referring to Jersey as a Nation State. Well, if we didn't rely on imported power, foodstuffs, armed forces and fleecing tax payers of foreign lands we might be a nation state, but we are not and never will be. It is a fantasy land.
