Just a very brief post to say that things aren't brilliant at the moment and feelings are very down. There are no jobs out there.
It is very difficult to see through the fog and the whole stream of varying emotions that goes with things inducing panics and sickness. Once the thoughts get going it just tends to get worse and one thing feeds off another. It's like a spiral. But I have to keep my spirits up and knock those thoughts on the head.
It's what to do next that is the vexing question, i.e. how to see if there any other avenues in my line of work.

I know it is probably of little comfort, but I was in a similar situation three years back, although things are not brilliant at present I got through it all and got my confidence and self esteem back.
At the time I felt I was fighting an invisible force and could not see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Try not to let it grind you down, and I hope like me it turns out for the better.
Hi, J24/7, this is your erstwhile fellow-blogger and occasional online protagonist Clameur de Haro? newly returned to the Rock after an overseas assignment since just after Xmas.
And ready to resume the blogging, because it was a bit difficult to do more than maintain the sketchiest acquaintance with doings here, much less comment.
Genuinely sorry to hear your news - if it's any consolation, (and I know this can sound trite, but it isn't meant to) the same did happen to me about 22 years ago, and while it's distressing at the time, there is another side that you do come out of.
The intelligent comments you come out with, even if I personally might not always agree with them, and the way that you've set up and maintained your blog, show the latent talent you clearly have. It is really only a matter of time before things do improve, and the opportunities will be there.
In the meantime, please don't stop blogging. Jersey needs us - and you.
